Centre Mike Fisher has retired from pro hockey... again. Drafted in the second round, 44th overall, in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft by the Ottawa Senators, Fisher has 589 points (278G, 311A) in 1104 games, as well as 52 points (24G, 28A) in 146 playoff games for Ottawa (1999/00-partway through 2010/11) and Nashville (partway through 2010/11-2017/18). Fisher captained the Predators to the 2017 Stanley Cup Final before retiring for the first time in his career. His comeback was shortlived, starting with the trade deadline and announcing his return to retirement on Saturday. Fisher, 37, finished his final season with four points (2G, 2A) in 16 games and one point (1G, 0A) in 12 playoff games, and career highs of 53 points in 2010 with Ottawa, 25 goals in 2010 with Ottawa, and 29 assists in 2014 with Nashville.
