The Winnipeg Jets are trailing in a series for the first time since they played the Anaheim Ducks in 2015. While they are only down two games to one, the two games they have lost have not been a good look for the Jets.
The Jets have looked slow when matching up against the Vegas Golden Knights these past two games. The Golden Knights have taken away the middle of the ice for them. Anything that the Jets used as a strength has been taken away. This is good coaching from Gerard Gallant and his staff and at some point Paul Maurice and his staff have to find an answer to it.
On the other hand, the Jets also need to have more players step into scoring roles. With Patrik Laine being fairly quiet these playoffs and Nikolaj Ehlers being both quiet and hurt, they need more from all their forwards. Mark Scheifele cannot do this alone, although it is fun to see him try.
Prediction:
I cough so much that I watch my eyelids more then I watch the game.
