GDT: Winnipeg Jets at Montreal Canadiens

New, comments

Another Canadian city sees their team for the last time in 2017-2018 while the Jets are in town.

NHL: Winnipeg Jets at Montreal Canadiens
Winnipeg Jets right wing Patrik Laine (29) celebrates his goal in the Montreal Canadiens empty net with teammates center Mathieu Perreault (85) and defenseman Ben Chiarot (7) during the third period at Bell Centre.

So, I took a wild stab at the lines, because Mark Scheifele, Blake Wheeler, Jacob Trouba, Josh Morrissey and Adam Lowry are not starting tonight. Marko Dano, Shawn Matthias, Jack Roslovic, Dustin Byfuglien and Sami Niku (!!!!!) are.

Steve Mason is in net, with Eric Comrie backing up. It’ll be a pretty skilled healthy scratch list tonight.

Will Niku score in his debut?

Will Laine return to his sniper ways?

Will it amaze Derek how little this game means, other than maybe delaying Nashville’s attempt to win the division?

Tune in tonight, same Jets time (6:30 p.m. CDT) same Jets channel (TSN3)!
