Tyler Myers has suffered what looks like a lower-body injury and will not return for the rest of the game. Oh Toby Enstrom, where art thou.
#NHLJets say D Tyler Myers will not return. Looked like he suffered a lower-body injury late in second period

In all seriousness, this is a blow for the Jets who are already dealing with injuries on the blue line and this looks to be another injury to contend with. The Jets have dealt with numerous injuries on the blue line this season, but it is still different in the playoffs when injuries can change the course of the series.
The play Myers got injured on looked innocent enough, but as a player who has suffered through numerous hip and knee injuries, at a certain point any little tweak to the joint can set it off.
As for the Jets, it might be smart to call up AHL defenceman of the year Sami Niku instead if simply inserting Poolman. Niku is the better player and would be a boost to the Jets in this situation. It would put the Manitoba Moose at a disadvantage, but the Jets should always take precedence.
