Preview: Winnipeg Jets versus Carolina Hurricanes

Time: 6:00 PM CST

Channel: Sportsnet

Radio: TSN1290

The Carolina Hurricanes are hosting the Winnipeg Jets in a game that is a battle between Paul Maurice’s current and former team. The two former South East Division rivals are going in different directions as the Jets are headed to their third playoff appearance with their play this season. On the other hand, the Hurricanes are still trying to find a starting goalie.

The Canes are a strong team on paper. Their defence is young and talented and their forwards can get it done, however something seems to always not work out with them. They just cannot seem to be “good” no matter how many smart moves they make.

The Jets are looking to keep on surviving sans Tobias Enstrom and Jacob Trouba. While Joe Morrow and Ben Chiarot are putting up a valiant fight to help the Jets, they just are not good enough for the team to get anywhere with them playing regularly on defence. Alas, the Jets are barely getting by with them on the bottom-pairing and with the nature of Enstrom’s injury still unknown, here were are.

Prediction:

I will manage to eat supper on time and the Jets will light Cam Ward up like a Christmas Tree.
