Preview: Winnipeg Jets vs Boston Bruins

Time: 7:00 PM CDT

Channel: TSN3, NESN

Radio: TSN1290

Connor Hellebuyck gets the start in net tonight for the Winnipeg Jets (46-19-10) against Brad Marchand and the Boston Bruins (47-17-10).

The B’s are lead by Jakub Zboril and Zachary Senyshyn…wait, no they’re not because those were terrible draft picks. Well at least there was nobody good picked immediately after. What’s that? Mathew Barzal, Kyle Connor and Thomas Chabot went immediately after? Huh.

Winnipeg and Boston have each clinched playoff spots, and are each dealing with some injuries before their playoff journeys begin. Winnipeg is without the likes of Jacob Trouba, Dmitry Kulikov, Toby Enstrom and Steve Mason (among others). Boston is without Charlie McAvoy, Zdeno Chara, Rick Nash, David Backes, their one good 2015 1st round pick (Jake DeBrusk) and Anders Bjork.

Winnipeg has won all five of its games so far on this six game home stand. Will they complete the sweep tonight?

Jacob Trouba has cleared concussion protocol, but will not play tonight. The Jets announced Eric Comrie will start on Thursday in Chicago, while Michael Hutchinson has been sent down to the Manitoba Moose.
