Everyone’s favourite centre has been called up from the Manitoba Moose. Due to injuries to Adam Lowry, Matt Hendricks, and Brandon Tanev, the Winnipeg Jets have called up Nic Petan and Brendan Lemieux. They have also placed Lowry on injured reserve.

Petan being called up is interesting. He has 14 more NHL games before he is no longer free from waivers. He is better when playing with skilled players and absolutely sinks when with grinders. He would probably find success if he is with Marko Dano on the fourth line as the two of them have shown chemistry in the past. If Kyle Connor or Jack Roslovic are still on the fourth line, they would do well to compliment these two and inject some offence.

As for Lemieux, he would probably fit in well on the third line with Andrew Copp and Joel Armia. While he is not going to replace the chemistry between Copp and Lowry, he is a competent player as long as he does not get too hooked on trying to play physically.
