The Winnipeg Jets are looking to add a defenceman and Ian Cole appears to be one of the players the Jets are looking at.
Among the potential Ottawa Senators on the move today, Ian Cole will likely go first. Winnipeg is among the teams with interest.

Cole won two Stanley Cups with the Pittsburgh Penguins before requesting a trade this season because he was being scratched so frequently. He was traded to the Ottawa Senators in the Derick Brassard deal.
He is a puck moving defenceman who usually plays on the bottom pairing. Depending on the price, he is a useful depth piece. And as I write this Elliotte Friedman has said that the Columbus Blue Jackets have traded for him. If they paid more than a late round pick, it is smart that the Jets sat tight and waited to see what else was available on the market. Sometimes the best thing to do when it comes to depth defencemen. Considering it was rumoured Tomas Plekanec would be traded for a third and instead went for a second and two prospects, maybe the deadline is more of a sellers market.
Ian Cole is now a member of the Blue Jackets for Nick Moutrey and a thirs round pick. #tvasports

The Jets main focus should remain on shoring up their centre depth as there are question marks about Adam Lowry’s health as he has barely played in the second half of the season.
