Enemy Blog:

The Winnipeg Jets are playing their second half of a back to back against a team in the same situation; however, the New York Rangers had to travel further as they played in Montreal last night (and they lost).

Both teams played their backup goalies last night and while the Jets won, the Rangers lost 5-2 and their goalie did not help their cause. Tonight, they should be starting the ageless Henrik Lundqvist who has been in the Rangers net forever and has been good forever. The Jets will be countering with Connor Hellebuyck, who has been solid this season, but not nearly as good as last year.

The Jets will probably roll out the same lines as last night. They might replace Mason Appleton with Nic Petan or Cameron Schilling with Nelson Nogier, but those as small moves that would not bear much impact for the team. While it is unlikely he will play, Andrew Copp is inching closer to player after he was concussed. He has been practicing with the team and will hopefully be available sometime next week. There has been no update on Dustin Byfuglien as the Jets have not been in Winnipeg since his concussion was diagnosed.

There is also the small fact that Patrik Laine did not score a goal last night. After having the funniest stat line in November and being named the First Star of the Month, the forward was held off the score sheet. Hopefully he gives us another month with a stat line as amazing as 18 goals and 1 assist again.
