The most important development in the NHL this season has been the Montreal Canadiens fostering Flambo the dog while he trains to become a service dog. This is something that more NHL teams should explore doing. Sport teams have a unique environment where there is a lot of noise and distraction for a dog to be trained to deal with and part of the Habs plan is for Flambo to go to games to be trained in that environment.
