THE WINNIPEG JETS ARE PLAYING A HOCKEY GAME AGAIN!!!! AHHHHHHHH!!!! They will face off against the Colorado Avalanche tonight.

Sorry, I had to get that out of my system. After a week where nothing happened and the Jets recovered from jet leg (hahaha). But hockey is back and so are the concerns over the Jets five on five scoring, defence, and (checks list) misused fourth line.

The Jets should have the same lines as they had in Finland save for Brendan Lemieux being out of the lineup for his two game suspension from the game last Friday. Anyways, they are back now and Nic Petan has solidified his spot in the lineup for a couple more games for sure. He should be joined on a line with Jack Roslovic and Andrew Copp.

As for the Avalanche? Their first line is deadly, but most importantly, they have former Jet Marko Dano whom they picked up on waivers from the Jets. In reality, their starting goalie, Semyon Varlamov is very good, their defence is adequate and their forwards are beatable after the first line. This game could go either way because of these factors.

It is hard to predict how the Winnipeg Jets will play tonight. They have been off for a while and will need time to get their legs back under them. While it is nice for the NHL to have games in Europe, I am not sure of the wisdom of having mid-season games in Europe because it disrupts the NHL season for two teams for almost two weeks. That means that the rest of their season will be tighter and harder on the players. How does that help player safety? Anyways, the Jets are back tonight and there is no stopping them (we hope).
