The Winnipeg Jets are looking to recover from a third period collapse yesterday by playing the St. Louis Blues. The Blues are probably the disappointment of the Central Division had recently fired their coach. So long, Mike Yeo and all the terrible puns I made with your name. Craig Berube is the head coach now and if my good friend Laura’s tweets are any indication of how the Blues are doing since the coaching change, the answer is not good.

However, the Jets have been struggling as well. Struggling might seem like a strong word, but they are really looking disorganized in the defensive zone. Their defence is lacking depth and it is inconsistent in every aspect. Last season, the Jets had a pretty set top four which was reliable. This season, the second pair has been unstable and the top pair seems to be affected by the instability underneath it.

Alas, we will probably see Laurent Brossoit in net as it is a back to back. We might even be so lucky as to see Sami Niku be given a shot at that unstable Jets defence to see if his skating can help them at all.
