The Winnipeg Jets are playing the team that they traded Evander Kane except they will not be playing Evander Kane. Kane is not injured though; he has been traded to the San Jose Sharks where he remains.
The Jets still have Tyler Myers from that trade although there is an ongoing debate on how effective he is. While Myers has okay numbers on the third pair, he is often making head-scratching reads that befuddle many while watching the game. Myers would normally be joined on the blue line with another former Sabre, Dmitry Kulikov, but Kulikov is out hurt for the next three or so weeks.
