Dennis Everberg placed on unconditional waivers

The Winnipeg Jets placed forward Dennis Everberg on unconditional waivers for the purpose of contract termination today.

The Jets signed Everberg to a one-year, two-way contract on July 1st, and after spending time with the Jets in the pre-season, was sent down to the Manitoba Moose on September 29th.

Everberg appeared in 11 games for the Moose, missing some time due to injury but also being a healthy scratch on occasion. His status as a non-developmental player (having played more than 260 (or 320) pro games) worked against him, as did his inability to produce points.

Everberg spent last year split between Avangard Omsk and Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk of the KHL, where he put up 16 points in 50 games. He was previously a part of the Colorado Avalanche organization, playing 70 games with the Avs between 2014 and 2016, putting up 12 points.
