The Winnipeg Jets are taking on the struggling New Jersey Devils tonight in Drew Stafford’s return to Winnipeg. Of course, he might have played here before after he got traded, but this is the first time I can remember it happening. Anyways, the Devils are here and they have Stafford with them.

The Devils have the reigning Hart Trophy winner, Taylor Hall, on their team and he is once again a monster for them. Sadly, it is not going well for other players on their team. Pavel Zacha is in the AHL trying to find his game, and Cory Schneider is not their starter right now after he missed a good chunk of last year with an injury.

The Jets are looking rather good following their return from Finland. While the defensive zone is still a mess, Blake Wheeler looks more like himself and Patrik Laine is getting a lot of chances five on five. His luck really needs to change for him as he is doing everything right. The defence is not looking as hopeful and Dmitry Kulikov is out for at least a month, but maybe that means we will get Sami Niku. Outside of that, it is business as usual for the Jets.
