Some of the leaves have turned, the snow has fallen and it is right before Canadian Thanksgiving which means one thing: it is October and it is time for regular season NHL hockey!

After an active week in which Patrik Laine questioned the Vancouver Canucks logic in banning video games on road trips (before concluding that they had to blame their bad season on something and video games was fair) and then me fangirling hard over my favourite precious baby Finn Jesperi Kotkaniemi (with former Jet Joel Armia on his wing), it is time for the Jets to play again.

The Jets are rolling out what they see as their optimal lineup. It will not feature Dmitry Kulikov as he will be healthy scratched. Kristian Vesalainen makes his NHL debut on a line with Jack Roslovic and Nikolaj Ehlers.
