Jets Assign Stanley to Moose

The Winnipeg Jets have assigned a hulking prospect to the Manitoba Moose, as Logan Stanley becomes the latest player to join the team ahead of the AHL season.

Stanley, who was recently featured in our Top 25 Under 25, should be in a fight for playing time, as the Moose will ice a plethora of good defenders this year.

With Stanley sent down, 25 players remain on the roster, with the team having to be at 23 by 4 pm CDT. The two goalie positions are set, but something is bound to give with the eight defenders and 15 forwards. Nic Petan will likely be a non-roster player, so that means one player is still to be sent down today.

With nobody on waivers, the options are Brendan Lemieux, Kristian Vesalainen and Tucker Poolman (or Kyle Connor and Jack Roslovic, but that’s not happening).

We’ll update when the cut comes in.
