Winnipeg Jets call up Eric Comrie; Adam Lowry back in a regular jersey

The Winnipeg Jets have called up Eric Comrie after the All Star Break to fill in for the injured Steve Mason. This means that Michael Hutchinson will remain in the AHL as the Manitoba Moose’s starter with Jamie Philips as his back up.

It is not known how long Steve Mason will be out of the lineup with a concussion, but hopefully he will recover quickly without rushing back from his second concussion this season.

Comrie has played in one NHL game this year and he allowed five goals. In his previous NHL game he allowed four goals. Hopefully he will be able to turn in a few more games and help the Jets get a couple more wins.

In some good injury news, Adam Lowry has returned to practice in a regular jersey according to Winnipeg Free Press reporter Mike McIntyre. This is excellent news as the Jets desperately miss having him in the lineup with Mark Scheifele also being out. With Lowry close to returning the Jets just need Scheifele back up front. Scheifele was spotted skating with the team by a fan at an informal skate yesterday.
