In news out of left field, Ted Wyman is reporting that Winnipeg Jets defenceman Jacob Trouba is out 6-8 weeks with an ankle injury.

This is more bad news for the Jets on the injury front as they have been hit hard by them since Christmas time. They have lost both Dustin Byfuglien and Tobias Enstrom to injury earlier this year and are currently dealing with no Mark Scheifele, who did skate in a non-contact jersey today.
Unless I missed the earlier recall, Tucker Poolman has been called up. If they Jets are really worried about playing defenceman on their correct side, they will play Enstrom with Tyler Myers and Dustin Byfuglien will play alongside Josh Morrissey leaving Poolman and Dmitry Kulikov to play together. If this does not work they could always try Sami Niku in the lineup, but the Jets have gone through worse this year and survived.
The good news is the Jets have solid depth finally. If they use it correctly they should be able to continue to weather the storm of injuries. Just prepare yourself for way too much Myers/Ben Chiarot in the near future.
