The Winnipeg Jets enter their last preseason game with only one position decided upon: goaltending. Every other position is up for grabs within reason and it is time that players put claims on spots. The Jets will have to decide who stays and who goes on the bottom lines of the forwards and as the seventh defenceman. It is likely that Tucker Poolman is given more playing time by being sent to the AHL and Ben Chiarot stays in the NHL for this spot.
For tonight, the Jets are allowing many of those players to battle it out in the lineup. Marko Dano, JC Lipon, Kyle Connor, and Brendan Lemieux are all in the mix for forward spots it seems. Dano might have an advantage because he would have to be waived and he can play with skilled players when given the chance.
Lines and Defence Pairings:
Petan-Scheifele-Connor
Ehlers-Little-Laine
Dano-Copp-Lipon
Armia-Matthias-Tanev
Lemieux-Perreault-Wheeler
Morrissey-Trouba
Poolman-Myers
Enstrom-Kulikov
Chiarot-Byfuglien
Steve Mason is starting.
