The Winnipeg Jets are set to play in their fifth pre-season game tonight on the heals of four straight losses. The Jets are playing their A Team again and looking to finally get in the win column. They should at least put up a good fight as they are playing a lineup that closely resembles an ideal opening game lineup, at least upfront.
The Jets will also most likely be starting Steve Mason in goal and this is a good thing. Goalies get into rhythms as players and they need time to get there, so it makes perfect sense to give Mason more time.
We are also seeing different lines this game, specifically with Kyle Connor moving up to the first line from the kid line with Nic Petan and Jack Roslovic and Marko Dano moving up from the AHL line to a NHL line. Both these moves bode well for these players.
