Preseason GDT 4: Winnipeg Jets at Edmonton Oilers

The Winnipeg Jets are entering the mid-point game for their pre-season and so far, no dice for a win, but the Jets are back it again tonight against a team on a back to back set after playing the Vancouver Canucks last night.

The Jets are starting Michael Hutchinson in goal tonight. While it is possible that Hutchinson ends up in the NHL this year, that would be because the Jets have chosen to have three goalies instead of two and one less out player. That would put the Jets in a tough spot in some cases if it came to injury as you have to have a player on IR to open a roster spot for a call up.

The lineup is below:

There are a couple interesting things about this lineup: they are going to try to help Kulikov by playing him with Dustin Byfuglien, who is hard to play with as he likes to roam. The other interesting group is the line of Kyle Connor, Jack Roslovic, and Nic Petan. All three players are young and skilled. They would most likely be an upgrade on any line in the Jets bottom six from last season.
