The Winnipeg Jets are playing a decidedly weaker lineup tonight in Minnesota. With Jacob Trouba being the only regular to play tonight, it should be a difficult game for the Jets. It will be a game for Marko Dano, Kyle Connor, and Jack Roslovic to make an impression.
In goal, the Jets will return to Connor Hellebuyck. It seems like the plan is to go with Hellebuyck and Steve Mason this season; using the pre-season as a warm up for them instead of having the goalies battle it out when the decision has already been made.
Players to Watch:
Tucker Poolman: the vaunted college signing is trying to do the impossible and make the Winnipeg Jets when there is no space on their blueline. With Trouba being the only NHL level defenceman to play tonight, it is a great night for Poolman to step up and make an impression.
Kyle Connor: after being sent down to the AHL in December last year, Connor became the Moose’s best player. Will this level of play continue and will he find himself on the Jets opening day roster again?
