The Winnipeg Jets will be facing the Pacific Division Champion Edmonton Oilers in their second pre-season game of the season. They are test-driving a line-up that looks close to an opening day line-up already.
The players to watch for the Jets are Jack Roslovic and Sami Niku. Roslovic could make the team out of camp and if he does playing with Nic Petan and Shawn Matthias might make his adjustment easier as those two are not going to draw tough assignments.
Niku is notable because he is right up there with Tucker Poolman as far as defensive prospects go; he might even be higher. Even though the Jets have no space on their blueline, Niku and Poolman should be duking it out to see who will be the first call up on defence and a strong first impression in pre-season is the first step to earning this role.
