Winnipeg Jets announce development camp

There is no rest for the wicked as the Winnipeg Jets are opening their development camp tomorrow at the Bell-MTS IcePlex. The camp roster includes players who made their NHL debuts this season including Jack Roslovic, Kyle Connor, and Nelson Nogier. The camp will also feature all the new draftees from this weekend.

Not included is signed Finnish defenceman Sami Niku, but that could be tied to the fact that Finland still has compulsory military service for males and he might not have completed his yet. Mikhail Berdin, a goalie drafted last year in the sixth round, is also not on the list, but that might have to do with NCAA rules and regulations.

Finally, invites for the camp include: Francis Beauvillier (Manitoba Moose), Ryan Kuffner (Princeton University), Jared Spooner (Green Bay Gamblers), Nico Sturm (Clarkson University), Alex Tonge (Robert Morris University), Chris Dienes (Western Michigan University), Cole Kehler (Portland Winterhawks), Jake Kielly (Clarkson University), and Colton Phinney (Princeton University).

The first day camp is open to the public starting at 1:00 pm CST while Tuesday through Thursday starts at 10:00 am CST and the last day starts at 10:30 am CST.
