Winnipeg Jets Regular Season Schedule Released

The Winnipeg Jets have released their regular season schedule. Their season starts on Wednesday, October 4 when they open Bell MTS Place against the Toronto Maple Leafs to start the year. They then help the Calgary Flames open the Saddledome on Saturday, October 7. There are some noteworthy dates to look forward to besides those two:

First game vs. the Vegas Golden Knights: November 10

Chris Thorburn’s first game back in Winnipeg: December 1

Last game before Christmas: December 23

First game back from Christmas: December 27

Bye Week: January 14-19

All Star Break:January 26-29

All Star Game: January 27 and 28

The Jets also play 20 of their last 32 games at home starting in February. That means a road-heavy start to the year, but a much easier second half. The Jets close their season at home against the Chicago Blackhawks. They play eight sets of back to back games.

The Jets schedule holds no real surprises. There are no outdoor games this year and there is no Olympic Break this year. Unless Thorburn does not end up in Vegas, these dates are the only “must see” dates on the Jets calendar until the trade deadline is announced and teams start setting up their rosters for the future on Friday. Meanwhile, enjoy the NBA draft tonight.
