According to Elliotte Friedman, the reason that there has not been a trade announcement yet for the Vegas Golden Knights and Winnipeg Jets in relation to the compensation for the Golden Knights taking Chris Thorburn instead of Tobias Enstrom or Marko Dano related to picks.
Believe the WIN deal will be announced later because it is tied into the draft picks with LV & CLB

WPG, BTW, is currently scheduled to pick 13th in first round on Friday. Jets may be sending another pick to VGK, too.

The Vegas Golden Knights do not yet officially have the picks that for trades that they agreed to in the trade freeze. It has been speculated that the Golden Knights will either select David Clarkson or trade for David Clarkson in return for a first round pick plus more. This means that the Jets would receive the 24th overall pick.
If Bob McKenzie is correct and the Jets acquire the New York Islanders pick instead of the Blue Jackets pick, there will probably be even more pieces in play and the Jets trade could end up being slightly more complicated than initially thought.
Kevin Cheveldayoff might not trade much, but when he does, he makes big moves.
