The Winnipeg Jets played the Calgary Flames on Saturday night, and it was ugly!
The Coach then held his post game press conference, kind of…
After practice on Sunday and prior to jumping on a plane to Nashville, the Coach had more to say, kind of…
‘Nuff said!
Jets take on the Predators, who won their last game and are in the playoffs…
Where: Bridgestone Arena, Nashville Tennessee
Who: Winnipeg Jets (30-33-6 for 66 pts) vs Nashville Predators (33-24-11 for 77 pts)
When: 7:00 pm CST
How: TSN3, TSN 1290, FS-TN, WPRT-FM
Projected Lineups:
Winnipeg Jets:

Perreault – Little- Laine
Matthias – Lowry – Armia
Dano – Copp – Thorburn
Chariot – Byfuglien
Melchiori – Morrissey

*Petan out, Thorburn in – look for a staged jersey jerk sweater stretch doesy-doe with McLeod.
*Trouba out, Melchiori in – Trouba likely out due to stopping a Cgy’s Bennett punch with his noggin on Saturday.
*Enstrom (UBI), Myers (LBI), Pavelec (LBI)
Nashville Predators:
Forsberg – Johansen – Arvidsson
Parenteau – Fisher – Smith
Wilson – Jarnkrok – Neal
McLeod – Sissons – Watson
Josi – Ellis
Ekholm – Subban
Bitetto – Weber
Rinne
Saros
Keys to the game:
Winnipeg Jets: Pace, puck possession, and player positioning…and no penalties.
Nashville Predators: Keep it simple.
3 Questions:
- Has Hellebuyck finally solidified the #1 goaltender position? Again, we’re not sure. Hellebuyck seems to have lots of peaks and valleys in his game.
- Can the Winnipeg Jets manage to stay out of the penalty box? This kinda got out of hand again during their last game, didn’t it?
- What more can the Jets do? Focus on the little things or don’t sweat the small stuff. I’m not sure anymore.
Players to watch:
Winnipeg Jets: Hellebuyck, if he’s is in the net at game time.
Nashville Predators: Subban. Should be fun to watch him chase Ehlers around the ice.
Participants worthy of your rejection and unclean wordplay: Neal & McLeod. (Sounds like the name if a law firm or a rifle manufacturer…maybe a law firm that makes rifles? Dunno. OK, I’ll stop.)
Prediction: Jets 3-2
