GDT: Winnipeg Jets at Edmonton Oilers

Breaking: based on pre-game information the Winnipeg Jets will not have Dustin Byfuglien on the blueline tonight and the NHL debut of Tucker Poolman commences shortly.

Aside from Poolman, Marko Dano will be making his season debut for Joel Armia. The Winnipeg Jets will be looking to improve their penalty kill without one of their best penalty killers. The Jets will also be looking to shut down Connor McDavid without Byfuglien. This task will probably fall to Jacob Trouba and Josh Morrissey without Byfuglien.

Outside of that, Connor Hellebuyck will be starting tonight. The Jets are hoping that they will not have their regular tandem goalie going tonight by having both goalies play in one game.

Hopefully the Jets let in three or fewer goals for once and they score a couple more as well. If the Jets lose tonight, they will start 0-3 and will have to dig themselves out of a hole with the season having barely started.

(Yes I am tired and yes I have driven far too long for a single weekend so no recap tonight).
