It is October and with that comes regular season NHL hockey. The Winnipeg Jets are playing the Toronto Maple Leafs in a game that will decide which city is better. Still, this game and competition is second to the fact that Nikolaj Ehlers is signed to a new seven year contract extension at a reasonable rate. Ah, life is good for the Jets.
The Jets are trying a new strategy this year of sitting offensively skilled players in lieu of offensively deficit players. This is to help prevent scoring while also scoring less. Anyways, the Jets top six looks super awesome and if pre-season is any indication, Patrik Laine is not ready for a sophomore slump and is ready to show the world he will always be awesome.
On defence, the pairings look super solid and like a real top-six. Hopefully Dmitry Kulikov bounces back from a tough year last year and earns his contract and then some on the Jets blueline because the group is solid all around.
