Preview: Winnipeg Jets versus Columbus Blue Jackets

The red-hot Columbus Blue Jackets entering tonight’s game with a 4-1 record. The Winnipeg Jets have clawed their way to a game over .500 on their recent road trip. The Jets have been riding the high of goalie Connor Hellebuyck’s excellent play. Meanwhile, they are dealing with injuries to Mathieu Perreault, Adam Lowry, and Dmitry Kulikov. Perreault has been put on IR with his injury and Kyle Connor has been called up in his stead.

Outside of the injuries, Jets have had strong performances from their top six forwards. The concerns lie with the bottom-six as the bottom-six is not a usual set-up for teams anymore. Most teams will use a top-nine, fourth line set up while the Jets are still opting for a top-six/bottom-six alignment. It remains to be seen how long this will last.

The Jets are going for their fourth win in a row tonight. It will be a tougher test than their other three wins.
