Winnipeg Jets: Laine in tonight, Perreault out; Pavelec starting

As suspected last night, Patrik Laine is officially back into the Winnipeg Jets lineup after missing eight games with a concussion. This is massive for him as he does not even remember the hit that took him out or the moments following the hit. He will be playing tonight and will be able to make his first all star appearance this weekend in Los Angeles.

In not so good lineup news, Mathieu Perreault is out until after the all star break and there is no timeline on his return yet. Corey Perry, who slashed Perreault, will not face supplementary discipline for his actions.

Andrew Copp will be taking Perreault’s place with Bryan Little and Blake Wheeler while Nic Petan will once again centre the fourth line that features Chris Thorburn and Brandon Tanev. It seems as though Maurice is trying to spread out the offence by keeping Petan on the fourth line and moving Copp up.

Finally, Pavelec is starting his fourth straight game and his first back to back. He has conceded three goals in every game he has played and is not good in a back to back situation. This should go well.,
