Hello everyone! Recorded in the aftermath of April 30th's Draft Lottery, Episode 34 of the AIH 20416 Podcast featured two rather pumped up, ecstatic co-hosts!
In addition to overflowing with Winnipeg Jets-related joy, we wanted to check in on other draft lottery contenders and hear how they were doing. To that end, we were joined by four of the hockey blogosphere's best and brightest. In order of appearance:
- Achariya (@tanyarezak) of SB Nation's Pension Plan Puppets, home for all things Toronto Maple Leafs
- Sunil Agnihotri (@sunilagni) of The Copper & Blue, SB Nation's Edmonton Oilers hub world
- J.D. Burke (@JDylanBurke) of Canucks Army, our frenemy Nation Network's Vancouver Canucks site
- Brendan Porter (@brendanporter) of SB Nation's Five For Howling, your Arizona Coyotes destination
Our interviews all followed a similar format, with discussion centered around each team's now-settled place on the draft board (1st, 4th, 5th and 7th, respectively). We inquired about which players were now in their sights, the organizational needs of each team, whether they would entertain trade offers and more.
Of course, we also managed to sneak in a Winnipeg Jets question or three, including but not limited to asking each guest who they felt Kevin Cheveldayoff & Co. should draft with the 2nd overall pick. Click on one of the links below to find out their answers!
