Want some good news? There’s 17 games left in the year. Then we shift to 24/7 draft talk. The bad news? We still have 17 more games to watch. This obviously becomes less painful if Mark Scheifele keeps playing the way he has. On Tuesday the Jets face the Nashville Predators in what is surely to be a better match than the 58 minutes and 30 second snooze-fest of today.

- Mark Scheifele is really good. This hot streak has made me think he can further develop into an elite first line centre. Instead of a good first liner, elite second liner.
- It seems that starting Ondrej Pavelec guarantees a loss every game he plays. The tank abides.
- Andrew Copp has been playing a lot better ever since Anthony Peluso went down. I hate to say he’s an anchor, but he shouldn’t be a regular in the line-up.
- I can’t wait for the Heritage Classic jerseys to be revealed. It’s going to be hard on my wallet, but that Kyle Connor Jets jersey will be amazing to own.
- Awesome moment before the game for Military Appreciation Night. Love the respect.
- Auston Matthews and Patrik Laine. Again.
