*Anthony Peluso is out for 3 to 4 weeks with a upper body injury, so the Jets will insert Matt Halischuk. Jacob Trouba is out of today’s game and probable for tomorrow’s action. As a result, the Jets have recalled Josh Morrissey. Here’s Josh talking about his opportunity…
Nikolaj Ehlers is, in a sense. one lucky guy…As you may have seen, Nikolaj took a puck to the face in overtime against the New York Islanders on Thursday night. What we didn’t know until Friday afternoon was that the puck actually broke his visor, which then cut him around the eye. Thankfully, no actual visor pieces entered his eye. Ehler’s has been shut down indefinitely until the Jets and the doctors get a better handle of his injury. Paul Maurice’s videos at the bottom of this post will shed more light on the injury. With this, I anticipate Mathieu Perreault will likely be inserted on the top line, while Joel Armia comes up to the second, Chris Thorburn on the third, and JC Lipon makes his way to the 4th.
