Winnipeg Jets see why to draft high

On this week's episode of Greatest Tank Battles, the Winnipeg Jets fell victim to the sword, dropping a decision 3-2 to the Buffalo Sabres.

Some Thoughts:

Five goals were scored in this game and they were all attributed to rookies. Goals from youth are definitely the brightest of bright spots this time of year.

Nikolaj Ehlers opened scoring with a beautiful piece of stick work. This kid will be something special.

Hudson Fasching opened scoring for the Sabres with his first career goal.

Sam Reinhart and Jack Eichel are the high profile youngsters for the Sabres. They are already showing their "special" regularly.

Both Eichel and Reinhart were drafted at the top of their respective draft classes. They are a great sign of what the future could hold for the Jets if they are able to draft Auston Matthews or one of the Finns.

This loss may have been tough for many Jets fans to swallow, but it was big for the tank. This loss pushed the Jets back down to 27th in the standings and moved them 4 points behind the Sabres with just 7 games remaining.

I'm sorry guys, I can't even pretend that I'm rooting for a win at this point. I'm just hoping they can land some serious talent in the draft to make this painful season worth it.
