Hello Tanking My Old Friend…

So let's just cut to the chase guys. The season is done. You probably already know this, but it needs to be said again. Pack it up, we'll come back in June.

But seriously, the team actually started to play after the first period. Prompting me to not follow through with my idea of just reviewing Star Wars Episode VII instead of actually talking about tonight's game.

Thanks to the play of future former Jets Andrew Ladd and Dustin Byfuglien, the Jets found themselves back in the game, giving the silent crowd at the MTS Centre something to cheer for.

Not even Connor Hellebuyck was safe from the first period massacre. Allowing 3 goals on 6 shots, he was quickly swapped out for Michael Hutchinson. He had a much better night posting a .913 save percentage, boosting his invisible trade value. As for something that isn’t doom and gloom?

Bright Spots:

  • We're one day closer to Chevy doing something.
  • The tank is making great progress.
  • Uh…

There's not much else left to say about this game. Just wishing our friends in Columbus, Toronto and Edmonton a fantastic rest of the season.

Are you ready for the draft? Or at least for the season to be over? Is it looking to be the end of Andrew Ladd's time in Winnipeg? Let us know what you thought about tonight's game down in the comments!
