To Beat A Predator(s)

The Winnipeg Jets beat the Nashville Predators in only what can be described as grand larceny. Despite being outplayed, in true atypical Jets fashion, they go into Nashville, and come out a winner 4-1. Drew Stafford is back on a hot streak with two goals tonight. Ben Chiarot and Alex Burmistrov (empty net) were the two other goals. On Thursday the Jets head to Dallas to face the Stars to close out their Western Conference road trip.

Some Thoughts:

  • Connor Hellebuyck is very good. 43 saves. A number one goalie goes down and magically gets better when the AHL prospect is called up. Makes you think.
  • Very often, the Jets will outperform their opponents but still lose, it was nice to be on the other side of the coin tonight.
  • Blake Wheeler is 4th in the league in assists and 7th in total points.
  • Per LeBrun: “Tampa Bay is looking for a “top-end right handed defenseman.” Whether that has to be in a Jonathan Drouin trade remains to be seen.” Potential destination for Dustin Byfuglien?

What did you think of tonight's game? Is LeBrun's rumor something you are interested in? Let us know down in the comments!
