Kevin Cheveldayoff and the Winnipeg Jets have re-assigned 11 players to either the Manitoba Moose training camp roster or to their junior teams, as per their website. This first batch up cuts drops the amount of bodies from the initial 55 players who began the week down to 44 (or 54 and 43, if you take away Grant Clitsome which I guess you likely should).

The eight players who were sent across the hall to Moose camp are Axel Blomqvist, Austen Brassard, Aaron Harstad, David Leggio, Jimmy Lodge, Juho (Jussi) Olkinuora, Brennan Serville and Peter Stoykewych.

The three players returned to their junior teams are Jansen Harkins, Matteo Gennaro and Michael Spacek, all in the WHL.

With 20 more cuts required to get down to the opening night 23-man roster, expect to see a lot of bubble players in the next two or three exhibition games as they attempt to earn one of the few open spots remaining.
