Winnipeg Jets set to trudge through a pool of Oil

New, comments
Perry Nelson-USA TODAY Sports

Back to back games in the pre-season isn't a recipe for quality hockey - especially when two top line forwards are out with injuries and most of the rest played the night prior. The Jets will enter this game coming off an overtime loss versus the Minnesota Wild and there will be many kids, dressed and battling for NHL ice.

Keys to the Game

Winnipeg Jets

Find some players. It will be interesting to see who makes the trip to Edmonton. Many coaches would rather not run their vets back to back in the pre-season, but Maurice won't have a choice. A number of players who played last night will play in Edmonton.

Adam Lowry will be joining any carry-overs, but it sounds like he might be without his trial wingers, Andrew Ladd and Bryan Little. It will be interesting to see who he lines up with if that is the case.

Keep the kids rolling. Nikolaj Ehlers looked fast and dangerous. Nic Petan and Joel Armia did a number of things very well too. It is important to keep things rolling forward for these youngsters.

Mc Edmonton Oilers

Is it October yet?

Player to Boo Mercilessly

Does Luke Gazdic still play for the Oilers? Boo him or Nail.
