The NHL has announced it's schedule and while we learned yesterday that the Winnipeg Jets will open their season on October 8 against the Boston Bruins in Boston, but now we know the rest of the schedule.

The Jets will play in only 11 back to backs this season and 7 matinee games, including their third game of the season.

Key Dates:

October 8 - Season Opener versus the Boston Bruins

October 16 - Home Opener versus the Calgary Flames

December 23 - Start of Christmas Break

December 31 - New Year's Eve Game

January 10 - Evander Kane and Zach Bogosian return

January 27-February 1 - All Star Break

April 3 - Final Home Game

April 9- Last Game of Regular Season

The Jets are also known to have a few giveaway games as well as a Military Night, which is always special. There may also be other former players playing the Jets for the first time in Winnipeg, depending on how Free Agency shakes out.

Other interesting dates include hosting the reigning Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks on October 29, Connor McDavid's first regular season game against the Jets on December 21 in Edmonton, and Jack Eichel's potential first game against the Jets on January 10. For the first time in a long time a Buffalo Sabres-Winnipeg Jets game may be must see television.
