The Winnipeg Jets look to even up their series against the Anaheim Ducks after making the playoffs for the first time since 2009. The wheels came off for the Jets about halfway through game 1, and they proceeded to allow a few goals on crazy bounces. They'll be looking to produce a great game for 60+ minutes tonight. Meanwhile, the Jets were missing key forward Mathieu Perreault in game 1, but while there's still no official word on his return, he joined the team at practice Friday.
Winnipeg Jets
Andrew Ladd - Bryan Little - Michael Frolik
Drew Stafford - Mark Scheifele - Blake Wheeler
Mathieu Perreault - Adam Lowry - Lee Stempniak
Jiri Tlusty - Jim Slater - Chris Thorburn
Tobias Enstrom - Tyler Myers
Mark Stuart - Jacob Trouba
Ben Chiarot - Dustin Byfuglien
Ondrej Pavelec (starting)
Michael Hutchinson
(It's the playoffs, so I'm inclined to say Perreault is in).
Anaheim Ducks
Patrick Maroon - Ryan Getzlaf - Corey Perry
Matt Beleskey - Ryan Kesler - Kyle Palmieri
Andrew Cogliano - Rickard Rakell - Jakob Silfverberg
Emerson Etem - Christopher Wagner - Timothy Jackman
Hampus Lindholm - Francois Beauchemin
Cam Fowler - Simon Despres
Clayton Stoner - Sami Vatanen
Frederik Andersen (starting)
Jason Labarbera
Who to Watch
Corey Perry, who scored 2 goals and 2 assists in game 1. Personally, I think the Ducks' top line will give the Jets fits all series, but with a full roster the Jets should be able to contain and outplay the other three.
Prediction:
Jets 4
Ducks 2
