GDT: Jets. Oilers. MTS Centre. Tonight.

The Jets are heading out on the road for the next few games and it would be nice to see them snag a full two points from the Oilers tonight.

The game can be watched on TSN3.

Also, from my preview: Yes. I realize that Taylor Hall is not playing tonight as he’s out with a ankle fracture. That was the joke. It failed miserably. Oh well.

Person to Remember

You will recall perhaps that I did a “Person to Remember” instead of a “Player to Watch” in December after the death of the Blackhawks Assistant Equipment Manager, Clint Reif. Tonight, I believe that there is another individual that we should all remember for his contributions to the NHL and the sport of hockey.

Yesterday it was announced that former NHL defenceman Steve Montador had passed away at the young age of 35. I urge you to read this stellar article on the type of person and teammate he was to those who were lucky enough to have known him, including both of our newest Jets.
