GDT: Winnipeg Jets at the Detroit Red Wings

Canada has annexed Detroit for the evening as the Red Wings are the non-Canadian team playing on Hockey Day in Canada this year.

The Winnipeg Jets have sputtered into the Motor City and are looking to get off the snide with a strong possession game and some strong goaltending. The task is tall though as the Detroit Red Wings are one of the top teams in the East and a plus possession team to boot.

The Jets are playing their best lineup based on who is healthy and with the team. Although Chris Thorburn is still on the third line, the Jets are short one top 9 winger and there are few options beyond bad fourth liner. Until the kids are available to play in the NHL or Kevin Cheveldayoff gets some help of the wing, this is what the Jets have.
