Hockey Day in Canada Watch Thread

Today is Hockey Day in Canada. While you can go outside to see how close to a Festival du Voyageur sculpture you can resemble, you can sink into your couch and watch hockey from noon onwards. So do not despair, Rogers will save us for one day only.

If you care for pre-game shenanigans, than you can sit down at 11 am, turn to the old CBC and not have to change the channel until…4 pm! At 4, you can shift over to Sportsnet 360 for more hockey talk and then back to the CBC for MORE hockey. It is practically hockey heaven.

Key Details:
  • There is no Bob Cole calling a game. Why is this a problem? Because the Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Maple Leafs are playing on a Saturday night. That is Bob Cole's music.
  • Sportnet has this handy info page with the all the channel and game information in one place.
  • The final game of the night is the Vancouver Canucks versus the Calgary Flames. Last year this happened on such an occasion.

Schedule

1:00 pm-Ottawa Senators versus the Edmonton Oilers (CBC)

6:00 pm-Winnipeg Jets versus the Detroit Red Wings (CITY)

6:00 pm-Montreal Canadiens versus the Toronto Maple Leafs (CBC)

9:00 pm-Vancouver Canucks versus the Calgary Flames (CBC)
