The Jets have traveled to Nashville today to take on the Predators and everything is new and shiny. Okay, not everything is new, but the addition of Tyler Myers and Drew Stafford to the line up tonight should be interesting and exciting to watch hopefully.
I love trade deadline time. It's my second favorite time of the year, following the start of free agency which I have dubbed Hockey Christmas because every little signing feels like a special present. Evander Kane being traded yesterday wasn't that surprising, but I am honestly a wee bit sad to see him go. Zach Bogosian going was a bit more of a surprise, and I'm a sad about that as well. I'll get over it though. Damn these hockey feels....
What makes it all okay is that I love new people. It's always exciting for me at least to see what new players can do to help out the team and how things change or don't change with different players. Drew Stafford is Drew Stafford and that's all I really have to say other than the fact that he appears to have a wicked sense of humour and I appreciate that fully (as you all should know by now).
Haha..Drew Stafford just said he's thinking of wearing a track suit with floaties on it for his first players meeting with the Jets.

Tyler Myers is a literal giant. He's very very tall, you guys. Like, Zdeno Chara tall. He is a monster and I love it.

Players to Watch
The new kids. Of course. Duh. It will be interesting to see how they do based on their very limited interaction with the rest of the Jets as team mates and their presumably super quick introduction to how the Jets play their game.
Pretty excite? Yes. Yes, I am.
