It’s finally here people! After a whirlwind season that saw our first stint in the playoffs were back again for the fifth season (That’s right, FIFTH) of the Winnipeg Jets. Time sure does fly when your having fun and having severe panic attacks due to the organizations’ decisions. The Jets have some young guys on the team this year in Petan, Copp, and Ehlers and this will really be the first game with the final roster after Jay Harrison and Thomas Raffl were sent down to the Moose. Also, with Copp wearing number nine all you former Kane fans can swap out the name bar instead of buying a brand new jersey for a few hundred bucks.
Keys To The Game
Well it took five years but the Jets finally have four deep lines with Thorburn being the only borderline serviceable player in the lineup and Peluso playing the thirteenth man. Sure, Nicolas Petan, Nikolaj Ehlers, and Andrew Copp are all question marks but their upside are very high.
Lines:
Ladd-Little-Wheeler
Perreault-Scheifele-Ehlers
Burmistrov-Lowry-Stafford
Petan-Copp-Thorburn
Defense:
Enstrom-Meyers
Byfuglien-Chairot
Stuart-Trouba

Boston Bruins
Claude Julien announced that Zdeno Chara will be out for tonight’s game. The Boston Bruins had a very strange offseason unloading Dougie Hamilton to Calgary and Milan Lucic to Los Angeles due to cap space issues. They also had three first round picks that they whiffed on (thanks for Kyle Connor guys!). I expect them to take a step back this year.
Player To Boo Mercilessly
Matt Beleskey for being last year’s playoff golden boy and getting a fat contract for it.
Prediction
3-1 Jets. Ehlers, Wheeler, and Ladd score.
