Winger Brandon Yip, whose last NHL action came at training camp with Anaheim, was reassigned by AHL Norfolk to ECHL Utah. Winger Steve MacIntyre, who also last saw NHL action in training camp with Anaheim, was also reassigned from AHL Norfolk to ECHL Utah.

Forward Simon Moser, who last played in the NHL during 2013/14 for Nashville, has signed a three-year extension with Switzerland's SC Bern. He has an NHL out clause for 2015 and 2016.

New Jersey recalled defenceman Joe Whitney from AHL Albany and reassigned defenceman Seth Helgeson. They signed centre Joseph Blandisi, who was drafted by Colorado in 2012 but re-entered and went unselected, to a presumably three-year entry-level contract.
