Well, here we are. The final day of the Olympics are upon us. These jam-packed whirlwind sixteen days of sporting events is now drawing to a close. And on the final day, there is only one goal in mind.
Canada faces Sweden in the gold medal for men's hockey. The Canadians currently sit third on the podium with twenty-four medals and are ensured a twenty-fifth regardless of the outcome in this game. That puts them one medal short of their 2010 Vancouver Olympic performance, but a gold medal in men's hockey will make everything well worth it.
We will continue to bring nightly GDT's through the duration of the Olympics, including special GDT's which will run for Canada's men's and women's hockey games.
Here's a list of events that are on tap today:
Sport | Time | Event |
Bobsleigh | 3:30AM | Four-man |
Cross-Country | 1:00AM | Men's Mass Start |
Ice Hockey | 6:00AM | SWE vs. CAN - Men's Gold Medal |
