Game Day Thread: Winnipeg Jets vs. Anaheim Ducks

The Jets let the Ducks fly south with an extra point in a hate-filled game less than a week ago. Will a new face in goal make a difference? Can the Jets take fewer penalties? And why isn't Ilya Bryzgalov starting in goal for the Ducks?

Bruce Fedyck-USA TODAY Sports

The Winnipeg Jets (15--9-6) take on the Anaheim Ducks (20-6-5) this evening in Winnipeg. The Jets, fresh off of a 4-3 shootout loss to the Avalanche in Colorado, have gathered at least one point in eight straight games dating back to November 25.  The Ducks, led by Ryan Getzlaf's 31 points in 30 games, enter this contest having won six games in a row.

Two good teams.  Two hot teams.  This should be a good one.

The game can be seen on Hockey Night in Canada.
